DALEVIEW CARE CENTER HONORS COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS

Daleview Care Center celebrated National Volunteer Week by hosting a festive brunch for dozens of volunteers who regularly visit the facility to volunteer their time in a variety of capacities.

The festivities included a buffet brunch and beautiful spring decorations of vibrant flowers and balloons as volunteers were called up one by one and honored for their service. Town dignitaries included Nassau County Legislator David Mejias, Farmingdale Mayor Butch Starkie, Deputy Mayor Patricia Christiansen and Village Trustee Cheryl Parisi all spoke at the event congratulating the volunteers for their service. Four students from the Farmingdale High School Honor Society were also recognized for their volunteer participation.

Volunteer opportunities at Daleview Care Center include visiting residents, leading or assisting with programs and transporting residents throughout the building. Adults or students who are looking to enrich their own lives by volunteering may call Daleview at (516) 694-9800 for more information.
